3D Game lvl 2 v1 Feedback
What went right was that I added UI for the player to read and give them a better sense of progression throughout the level. This was something that I missed in my last level and I made sure to add it to my second level so that the level would flow better. I also made sure to implement a design that would force the player to keep on going forward. This way, the player didn't get stuck in an area and try to run back in circles. I did this by having the player jump on platforms that would be too high or far to reach if the player tried to jump back. Also, the jumps for the level's difficulty felt right and the jumps would be progressively harder throughout the level.
I can improve this level by implementing more gameplay. For a more experienced player, the level wasn't very long but for a novice player the level was closer to the target level play time. I will need to add more components to the game so that the player has a longer and more enjoyable time playing the level. The critical path was obvious because there were platforms to jump on to progress through the level and there was also moving platforms to guide the players. There was a horizontal moving platform to guide players to the platforms above as well as vertical moving platforms that gave the player a challenge of jumping from one to the next without falling into the acid while still leading them to the end of the level.
